Grand Reopening Tasting Party: June 14th

Let your kickoff to summer begin with a tasting at artisan Gina's Bakery!

Did you read about our exciting renovations? They're in progress right now, and will end in a Grand Reopening Tasting Party at the new and improved Gina's Bakery on 110 Walnut Street in Montclair, on June 14th, from 11am to 3pm.

Our event – the first ever at Gina's Bakery – will coincide with Montclair's first farmers market of the year, so please make sure to put our Grand Reopening on your calendar.  We're just a short walk from the farmers market, which is at the Walnut Street Train Station, just down the road.

Whether you're a regular (and we know there are a lot of you) or you've never been to our one-of-a-kind true artisan bakery, we sure hope you'll stop by to check out our new digs and taste the latest and greatest! This is the perfect opportunity to sample our award-winning handmade  breads, pies, cupcakes and other treats.

Rain Date: If it's raining, we'll move the event to the following Saturday, June 21st, from 11am to 3pm. So don't worry, you'll get a second chance to try everything!

We look forward to seeing friends, both new and old!

Renovation in Progress: New Gina's Bakery Retail Space

We've begun renovating our retail space in order to better reflect the high quality of our baked goods, and to enhance our customers' experience. Our expanded retail space will not only look beautiful, it will provide you with more elbow room to enjoy our offerings, and more efficient service to help you get in and out the door faster when you're pressed for time (this is New Jersey, after all).

At the same time, we'll be installing a highly-efficient, sophisticated air conditioning system. This system will keep our retail space much more comfortable in the warmer months, while helping us to improve the consistency of our fine baked goods year round.

And there's more. Over the next few months, we plan to set aside some of our retail space for café seating and service, including a gourmet European espresso system for café-style coffee, espresso and cappuccino, and one of our newest additions to the Gina's Bakery menu: the most delicious, wholesome, fruit smoothies you've ever tasted.

Please be patient through the renovation process, as there may be some temporary disruptions and noise. But do not fret – you'll still have access to your favorite Gina's Bakery baked goods, because we'll remain open throughout this period.

Here are some of the renovation details:

*We're thrilled to have the services of the talented creative design firm, Element Six Creative Group of Boonton, NJ to assist us in refining our branding and marketing materials. You can expect to see a more cohesive look and feel across our menus, signs, and other customer-facing materials

*We're very pleased to have on board Michaeline Fernandez of M Designs. Michaeline will be guiding us in our interior design plans, including our new café and bistro seating

*Our expanded space will provide more room for the new Gina's Cafe addition to our bakery, with bistro seating for up to 24 customers: 12 to 16 indoors, and 10 outdoors under our newly-installed awning

*We'll be adding late "café hours" on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings for cupcakes, desserts, coffee, espresso and cappuccino. This means you'll be able to pre-order other fine baked goods for pickup after dinner, and we'll have your order waiting for you

Taste of Montclair, May 31st 7-11 PM

Gina's Bakery is a proud sponsor of the 2008 Taste of Montclair at the Women's Club of Upper Montclair, 200 Cooper Ave.

The Taste of Montclair will feature Montclair's top chefs who will share their talents with each guest.  Participating chefs will provide a sampling of their favorite signature dishes for your culinary delight.

All proceeds for the "Taste of Montclair" go directly to the Montclair United Soccer Club which provides the town's youth with countless developmental opportunities and community outreach programs.
